ok.. Brazil now has more orkut users than the US. I'm not sure what to think about that. Brazil agora tem mais usuários de orkut do que os estados unidos. O que isso quer dizer ?

Brazilians are more sociable...? ;) My other completely unfounded hypothesis is that Americans may have already been on the verge of burning out on online communities by the time that Orkut started growing. Americans signed on out of novelty, got bored, and stopped inviting more friends. Brazilians - with more recent access to the Internet - were just coming on in larger numbers as Orkut hit... making it very attractive there. I also suspect that as the # of Brazilians rose, folks in the US lost interest.... getting frustrated with the growing dominance of so many non-English speakers in the community, plus (perhaps) a sense that they had nothing to gain from networking with the Brazilians. I wonder if Google will ever do a study and release the results....

xenofobia sou novíssima no orkut, mas hoje mesmo recebi uma mensagem a respeito de uma comunidade "anti brasileiros no orkut" criada por norte americanos. acho que a teoria da Terri pode ser bem verdade: os colegas americanos não tem interesse em estar em uma comunidade invadida por brasileiros. mas o que me irritou mesmo foi que a pesso que espalhou a noticia sbre a comunidade anti brasileiros o fez para iniciar uma campanha anti americanos, para superarmos os americanos, para "mostrarmos a eles". não sei se me irrita mais é a arrogância dos americanos ou a belicosidade desse contra ataque brasileiro. __ I am brand new at orkut but today I received a message about a "anti brazilians" community created by US people. SO I guess Terri's theory may be right: US people are frustrated and have no interest in being in a community invaded by brazilians: the thing with the US superiority... But that message I received today was actually to suggest a counter attack, to suggest that we responded, we created an anti american comunity, we invited more and more brazilian friends to overcome the north americans. I am not really sure what annoys me the most: the US arrogance or the war tone of the brazilian suggested conter attack.

Axu q concordo com a opinião do Murillo ... creio que perdemos muito tempo mesmo enfrente ao um computador .... E creio também que seja a necessidade de se mostrar em grupos , como no fotolog ... Hoje é realmente muito dificil conhçer alguém que não tenha um flog , um blog e blá blá . Creio q seja a questão de moda .. d q todos tem ..há então devo ter tb ...
